Guided Journey

Join one of Spanish Footsteps small group guided journeys. Experience a unique Spanish holiday in the culturally rich province of Soria and meet new friends along the way. Our meticulously researched guided walking holidays are designed so you get a balanced mix of nature, culture and history whilst undertaking daily walks to places of interest and outstanding beauty.

You need not be a hiker or experienced walker, rather someone who likes taking some exercise whilst exploring one of Spain's most unspoilt regions. Our guided holidays have a grading of:

• Sightseeing
  No walking other than short strolls around places of interest
• Easy
  approx 2-3 hours of walking per day, predominately level walking tracks, with moderate inclines/declines of up to 150m
• Moderate
  approximately 3-4 hours of walking per day on predominately level walking tracks, with moderate inclines/declines of up to 150m)

The advantages of a Spanish Footsteps guided journey is our small group size, we limit the number of guests to just 15 and have an average group size of 6-8. This ensures you each get the individual attention you deserve. As part of a smaller group you will experience a personalised service and a stronger group spirit. More fun and more flexibility. It's also easier for you to integrate and interact with the locals and have a better chance of seeing wildlife. Our small group guided holidays, give you the opportunity to stay in local, family run accommodation where available, like Posadas for example. Posadas are restored historic buildings that retain their architectural beauty of the past, with today's modern comforts. Experience the regions historical architecture first hand.

All your breakfasts, lunches and most of your dinners are included in a Spanish Footsteps guided journey and of course you will be accompanied throughout your tour by the founders of Spanish Footsteps, Alfredo and Louise, your professional hosts and tour guides. We are native English speakers, who live locally and speak Spanish. We have first hand knowledge of the people and the Province, and look forward to sharing it with you.

Self Guided Journey


Prefer the flexibility of an independent holiday? Spanish Footsteps offers a variety of self guided/self led holidays, allowing you to set your own pace. Our self guided holidays have a walking grade of Independent. You can do as little or as much walking as you like.

Whether your ideal day is spent indulging in the regions fine cuisine, relaxing in unique surrounds or taking on a challenging walk, the choice is completely yours.

We have a number of self guided itineraries readymade for you to choose from as all our holidays can be taken as a self guided option. Alternatively should you prefer to undertake a point to point walking holiday we can custom make a personal itinerary for you. Simply complete our holiday enquiry form and we'll create your ideal walking holiday in Spain.

No matter which self guided journey you chose we recommend accommodation options and take care of the reservations. We will supply you with an information pack created with our first hand knowledge of the regions walking routes, activities, places of interests, historical sites, fiestas, local artisans and restaurants.
